We stayed on points redemption at this hotel for two nights in late June and found the hotel to be clean, in a vibrant district with over 155 bars and restaurants in a four-block walking radius and the staff were very friendly and professional. The interior pool is tiny but the gym is functional and it is also a few blocks from the Waterfront and a jog/run to the USS Midway and back is a nice 5K. Breakfast (included) is basic but filling (and can get crowded) while the rooms are spacious enough but a little dated and dark. Finally, Petco Park is a 3 minute walk away if you want to take in a Padres game. If you are not going to a convention and want to avoid the pricier hotels right on the waterfront, harbour and near the convention center will do the trick for you.
