“Pretty Good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2014

This is a good place to eat, not great, but good. Pretty average breakfast food, nothing to rave about. The food seemed a little bland overall, but they do give a nice size portion. Service was good, could have been better, but we did go during a busy morning time. It appeared this is a popular place for the locals to go. They have a walk-up window outside that you can get food to go which is nice.

“Clayton's is fabulous for breakfast or lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

Clayton's is a no frills diner right out of the fifties. Good food, great service and fair prices. Always busy, but we had no problems getting a table or a seat at the counter.

“The emperor has no clothes”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

The food is terrible. People go here for the feel of the olden days when diners were the goto restaurant. They have the little jukeboxes at the counter and a real old fashioned jukebox. There is always a line of tourists. So if you want a taste of the old days, then go, but don't expect a good food experience.

“Don't go anyplace else for breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014

We enjoyed Claytons so much we had breakfast here a few times on our trip and used their quick service coffee window. We loved their peach mango smoothie. Their eggs are great, so are the pancakes, French toast, and donuts. There is always a line and a short wait during breakfast but it is worth it. The service is wonderful. No matter how busy they are the staff keeps up with everything . They take your order quickly and always check back with you, no matter how busy they are you never feel rushed. This place is not to be missed when in town. More of a locals place than a tourist location. Good prices, good food, good service.

“It's a classic go for the charm”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2013

The food here is pretty basic but the soda shop charm is worth the trip. Don't forget to play the jukebox with your favorite Johnny Cash tune!
