Great food and service, but I hate it when everything is a la carte, and the a la carte is for two, who eats a side of potatoes for two. You end up haveing way too many conversations on sharing, ugh! The plus though is my husband left his CC there and they held it for him.

This is a very handsome restaurant to have a very nice meal in. The atmosphere is relaxing, even though it is very busy. The staff is excellent, especially our waiter the night we were there; he was very informative, good humored, very professional and personable. All the food I had was great: oyster sampler (excellent), crab bisque, calamari, mahi mahi, sauteed spinach, and red wine. The other entrees all looked great as well; the steak looked like something out of a food magazine, it was so perfect. Do be prepared to spend a little money, but it's worth it.

The ambience, the friendly service and the great range of food which was quite large in servings. Nothing to complain about.

I usually hit Lou & Mickey's once every trip I make to San Diego,
Great Service, awesome patio, and nice selection but not overloaded menu. I'll be back again soon!

We passed this restaurant several times on outings into the Gaslamp District. It looked appealing from the outside and we decided we would have to eat at this restaurant while we were in town. We were not disappointed.

We arrived at the restaurant on an early Friday evening. There was a Padres game down the street so the restaurant was not crowded at this time. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess. She introduced us to our waiter who recommended specific steaks. He was correct. They were delicious cuts of meat, cooked to perfection. The waiter immediately brought HOT bread and butter. The steaks were delivered shortly thereafter and the waiter continued to check on us through the meal. I observed the other diners and everyone was getting excellent service from all the staff.

The restaurant is elegant without being snooty. Lovely dark paneling indoors plus an outdoor seating area. We were dressed casually, as were some other diners, but this restaurant would be excellent for a special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxed dinner.
