We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the off-season tour. Much of the structure was designed by Antoine Predock (who designed Arizona Science Museum in Phoenix, Austin City Hall, sevaral structures in Albuquerque, etc.) and it shows; this is not simply a ball park but an architectural creation with interesting spaces, integration with an old factory building, and spectacular sight lines for watching the game. The guide we had (Patty) was a lifelong baseball fan with many stories; she materially added to the quality of the tour. Well worth the price of admission, even if you are not a baseball nut.
