Review of Petco Park

The Padres fans don't stress over traffic and parking, they ride the MTS Red Trolley, which arrives a block from the staduim. There are special trains scheduled on game days (about every 15-30 minutes), the cost is minimal (about $5), it beat the freeway & the parking structure. Look for the Green, Orange and Blue lines.

It's great for a day of baseball especially in the springtime they have good food stands and the seats are well distributed, the parking is sometimes a problems but other than that it's a great day to spend a day.

Many amenities (made use of the Omni Premier Club for brunch); great traditions (special military uniforms for Sunday games); informative tour; free WiFi. A class act top to bottom.

There are two trolley stops which is perfect so that you don't have to worry about parking.

Tons of cool restaurants around the park, too.

Inside the park is beautiful! 3rd base line gets the shade first on those sunny days. There are some pretty good food places (including a Hodads (burgers) and Oggis (pizza). They also have a wine bar inside and a couple cool craft beer places.

We went on a tour of Petco recently. Great park...we went in the press box and on the field. Only disappointing aspect was that we did not go in the home dressing room but rather the visitors. Our tour 'navigator' was very good. Clear, well prepared and clearly knowledgeable about Petco and the general area. Make sure you visit the public park beyond centre field. Beautiful area with a small whiffle ball park and the Tony Gwynne staute. Overall, a very fun tour....only wish there was a game!
