Heard about Tuesday date night and decided to check it out. Bottle of wine and a great selection of entrees for half the amount you would normally pay. We didn't go just for the price as we have eaten here once before and again they did not disappoint. The restaurant interior and menu is suppose to get a complete overall this fall. Can't wait to check out the new digs when we visit beautiful San Diego again. Explore the flavours of Indigo grills - your palate will thank you.

By the location and design of the restaurant one would have expected a lot. We were all sadly dissapointed. The food was almost inedible. the Morita Ribs described by the waiter as "succulent and fall off the bone" could not be pried off that bone even with a knife. They were so dry that it was more like eating dry cured meat. The shrimp on a skewer were bland, small and unremarkable. Everything was so bad that we didd'nt even want to send the food back as we had no confidence that what replaced it would be any better.

Hit this restaurant on our first night in California and it did not disappoint. The signature corn pudding was delicious as were all the other items on the Good Things Growing platter. Good fresh food, well prepared and uniquely seasoned. Our only criticism was that our server was not very attentive.

Read about date night specials on Tuesday and it was a winner! The food, outdoor seating and service was outstanding. Great flavor and HUGE portions and wine to boot! Incredible price - we had such a wonderful meal we tipped our waiter 50%.

We've been wanting to try Indigo Grill for years, but, for one reason or another, have not made it to this San Diego landmark until now. Boy, have we been missing out on some amazing grub. Chef Deborah Scott is famous for her mastery of interesting flavors and Indigo's southwestern inspired menu allows her to explore original approaches to some classics. The Chili Rellenos are divine and the "Good Things Growing" vegetarian sampler is a testament to what can be done with fresh local ingredients. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the staff is anxious to explain each option carefully if needs be. The setting is casual, the service expert and the experience a joy from start to finish. Well worth a special visit. Highly recommended.
