Description: Rock n' Roll, burgers and shakes rule at the Corvette Diner! A '50s throw-back, with sassy waitresses in poodle skirts and bouffant hair-dos. It's more than just a place to eat, it's a destination.

“Vroom vroom!! All revved up!!!”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

Met our niece and her 3-yr old there for an early weeknight dinner. What a fun place! From the moment you enter, it's constant action and high-decibel noise. Singing, dancing staff, the balloon man, an arcade, a real Corvette, total sensory stimulation. The broad diner-type menu offers something for all ages, including not-so-diner salads and veggie burgers. Definitely entertaining for children and for their special birthday events, however....not a choice for quiet conversation, or for discriminating palates.
(I was uncertain as to whether this review belongs under "restaurants" or under "attractions"!)

“What did you say?? What??”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

I cannot stress how important decibel levels are people. The food was overcooked but good, however, the entire place is so incredibly loud that I know I suffered hearing loss having eaten there. It's more amusement than dining however with overexcited kiddies who are allowed to do whatever they want because of the carnival atmosphere. The music is much too loud, then there's someone making balloon creations, kids dripping drool onto your shoulder from the next booth, and the token parenting I should have known would be present in this environment. We ate & ran. Not my idea of dining.

“Had a ball!”
Reviewed November 6, 2013 via mobile

Terrific place for a burger, fries, and fun! They do a great job bringing you back to the 50's including dancing waiters and waitresses, a live DJ, and a vintage Corvette to ogle. Don't go if you want quiet and candlelight. Go if you want to enjoy a unique place really close to Old Town .

“A BLAST,”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Took our to grandsons here on a Saturday night and had a great time. Service was great, music was awesome and the decor was fantastic. Food was average, but the shakes were excellent. The boys got balloon hats and played in the arcade after dinner. Highly recommended!

A real 50's diner with singing and dancing waitresses. We loved it. The food was excellent, and very large meals. Great milk shakes.we had the best time. A must for your visit to San Diego.
