Description: Rock n' Roll, burgers and shakes rule at the Corvette Diner! A '50s throw-back, with sassy waitresses in poodle skirts and bouffant hair-dos. It's more than just a place to eat, it's a destination.

After a long day at the parks, this was a welcome dinner for my 7 year old. She was shocked to have straws thrown at her from the waitress! Milkshakes were incredible. Food was fine...burgers, chicken tenders, etc. Definitely good for kids. We enjoyed the music from the 50s to the 80s. She loved the balloon maker and the waitresses dancing. Definitely would go back with kids! They had some birthday celebrations while we were there and they were fun to watch.

As many other reviewers write, this is great fun for kids. It´s 50´s style diner, loud with burgers and milkshakes. I bet a good place to celebrate birthdays for children. For us with 2 teenager daughters, I don´t think the place was a hit. We found it to loud and busy. We also ound it a bit annoying with the magician who came over to the table to show us tricks, and the food was absolutely nothing to rave about. We did not know what to expect and what kind of place this was, and probably was not the right place for us to drop in without any special occasion we wanted to celebrate.

But, absolutely a fun place for kids to celebrate birthdays etc.

We went here on the first night of our first family vacation in San Diego. It was our son's birthday. He loved the decor and the food was better than we expected. He especially enjoyed the milkshakes. The ambience was kind of old school with the balloon animals, table side entertainment, arcade games, etc but when you are only 8 years old and love cars and electronics, old is new.

It is loud, the food is meh, but it is an experience. The kids certainly liked it and had a good time playing in the arcade while we waited on our table. The different theme rooms are kind of cool and they do have a nice selection of beers at the bar. The servers were fun and got into their roles. But the food is just so so and pretty expensive to boot. Worth going once if you have kids. Otherwise, skip.

This was probably the most fun family restaurant we've ever been to. And trust me, we've been to alot of the Rainforest Cafes, Planet Hollywoods, and Hard Rock Cafes.

Corvette was an original twist on the classic 50's diner, but it was so much fun too with the music and impromptu dance numbers by the staff. Our service was fantastic- and when my 5 yr. old's hot dog was brought to the table, it included a serenade "The Hot-Dog Song" from our waitress and a few other very enthusiastic servers. It was the highlight of his whole trip.

Food is high-quality diner fare, I had the famous peanut-butter hamburger- and it was very very good. Not light in any way, but tasty.

All in all, this place was so much fun, it's a guaranteed stop every time we're in town with the kids. I'm not sure the experience would be the same as a couple or group of adults, but for a family the food was great and the service/environment was a blast!
