“Ultimate Farmers Market”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014

This is by far the most divers, and lush Farmers Market I have been to. You will find a cornacopia of vibrant local foods year round. Giant purple /brown sea urchins (umi) eat with a spoon, local caught halibit. Seven kinds of mushrooms, middle eastern garlic spread, great music, greens you have never seen and recycled kitchen knives at low prices. The farmers drive in with citrus -several varieties of oranges including blood orange juice, nuts and giant artichokes (one can feed four people). Because of the draught the Avocados are getting smaller but you will find varieties you won't find in the supermarket.Good value added products like BarB Q sauce spreads and flavored nuts. I regularly go to wonderful farmers markets in Vt and have been to them in NYC(Union Square) Hawaii and LA. Little Italy will delight every one.The sun, variety, amount of product and smiling people make this a return to site.
You can find a farmers Market almost every day somewhere in San Diego but Little Italy is the best. While you are there you are surrounded by high quality Italian cafes and restaurants.
In the middle of this neighborhood is Princess bar an English style pub that serves great Mexican
posole with soccer on all the screens. Very international area.

“Something for Everyone!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2014

This is a great Farmer's Market every Saturday from 9am - 1pm. Grab a cappuccino at one of the local coffee shops and walk around enjoying everything the market has to offer.... flowers, produce, arts and crafts, olive oil, balsamic... A lot of the vendors have samples out so you can taste before you buy. If you are looking for something to do on a Saturday morning, head on over to Little Italy. You'll be glad you did!

“Wish I could go every week!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2014

Wonderful surprise for our weekend getaway in San Diego! The selection of food, drinks, crafts, produce, flowers, and more was exceptional. Bought a little bit of everything, from flavored salt to pepperoni and fresh herbs. Loved walking from booth to booth and talking with the various vendors and other shoppers. The place was crowded, but we never felt stressed. Parking is a little difficult, but we were able to find a space on one of the side streets fairly quickly.

“great farmers market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

This Saturday market is a lot of fun. Lots of variety of food and most vendors have samples before you buy. Fresh produce as well. Also artisans. We ate, bought some crafts and meandered in little Italy. If you are in San Diego on a Saturday, it's a great place to go.

“Excellent Selection ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2013 via mobile

This was a family friendly outdoor market offering a surprising and diverse selection of quality fruit, vegetables, baked goods, preserves and even cheesecake in a cup (the young man selling the cheesecake was very charming and he gave generous samples). They also had many organic offerings like smoothies, fresh fish, pestos, dates and persimmons. This is a highly recommended stop for anyone visiting San Diego.
