The Blind Burro specializes in baja coastal cuisine using local and sustainable seafood and produce when possible. Think grilled fish, chicken and shrimp with a Mexican and Baja inspired twist. The Blind Burro also showcases a second-to-none tequila, mezcal and spirits program that enhances the restaurant's Baja Costal vibe. With a walk up outdoor bar, guests are able to eat and drink, while enjoying the always amazing San Diego weather. Come late night, the restaurant converts into a fun and unique lounge

“We went twice on our visit”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

As tourists looking for Mexican food we were delighted to find the Blind Burro. We liked it enough to go back for a second visit. The menu is imaginative and diverse - not just beans and cheese. The service was excellent.

“Margarita Madness”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

Fantastic place to get a real margarita. If you are a purist and looking for the real thing - here it is but you are going to have to pay for it. A bit pricey, but took the prize as the best in San Diego with our group.

“Ate here twice in 2 days”

Great food and bartenders. Guacamole and chips were homemade and delish. Had some great lo-cal drinks as well. Recommend.

“Creative and unique, not your boring mexican restaurant”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

While visiting my son, who lives in San Diego, had lunch at The Blind Burro. my son recommended: the Salsa Flight...one of the most delicious salsas I ever tasted, the BBQ yellowtail collars and he said "you have to try the TJ dog......all wonderful !! the service was very attentive and informative. it was a weekday so it was slow and not loud. If you want to try unusual dishes this is the place. I get so bored in my city in Florida where every restaurant has the same options. I get spoiled by these innovative chefs that can mix flavors and ingredients in such a successful manner.
The prices were very reasonable.

“LOUD DISCO”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

Went to the Blind Burro. The veggie taco was outstanding as well as the service. However, the loud blaring disco music sucked. It would have been so much better if the music was different. How about some latin music???
