Micho'z is a great place to grab a bite to eat in Hillcrest. I went with the bf and we ordered a few things to share: a half order of hummus, half order of baba ghanouj, and the mixed grill with lentil soup. We were famished but figured we would order more if we were still hungry after all of that.

Who am I kidding? We both have pretty substantial appetites so we finished every bite. I was happily full but not stuffed, so it was great.

The hummus was your regular fare; nothing extraordinary, but good. The baba ghanouj was the best I've ever had. There was a smokiness to the dish (from fire roasting the eggplants) that I loved. It was so flavorful and I could easily have eaten a full order by myself. The lentil soup was delicious and plentiful for being a side. The mixed grill consisted of a beef kebab, chicken kebab, and kafta kebab. The chicken was moist and juicy, the kafta was on point, and the beef was tender but my least favorite. It had a floral taste that I wasn't a fan of but the bf liked it so he ate more beef and I ate more chicken - win win.

The guy working there was great; he gave us plenty of time to look over the menu, ask questions, and didn't rush us. He came over to see how things were and ask if we wanted anything a couple of times, but he didn't over do it. He also gave us an extra order of pita bread when the bf asked for it but didn't charge us. I don't know if that's typical but if it is, then that is just another reason to go!

I would definitely go back to Micho'z! The prices are great, the food is tasty, and there are plenty of options to choose from.
