Description: We are a family-owned bar and restaurant deeply rooted in San Diego's popular Gaslamp Quarter/East Village community. The word "meze" translates as "taste" - meaning both "flavor" and "a taste of something." At Meze Greek Fusion, you'll find both. Our menu features finely crafted Greek cuisine with a Southern California twist. You can enjoy entrees in our chic high-ceilinged dining room, or in small portions as "meze" that go exceptionally well on our patio with a drink. Meze is the perfect gathering spot for special event celebrations, relaxing dinners with family and friends, a peaceful lunch, or a handcrafted cocktail and a quick bite to eat before heading to a Padres game, or a night out in the Gaslamp. On the weekends, you can enjoy our delicious brunch with Bottomless Mimosas out on the patio. We are also known for our unique Greek wine and spirits selection, which is the perfect compliment to our flaming dishes, lively weekend belly dancing shows, and our extensive hookah options. We welcome you to join us for an unmatched dining experience that will exceed your wildest expectations. Opa!

Stopped in one evening on our trip to San Diego. We just had some appetizers and drinks but ohhh were they good! The spanakopitas were the best I'd ever had and the babaghanoosh was yummy. And although they were short-staffed that night, we still got excellent service from the bartender who also waited our table. Had to wait awhile a times, but he made some of the best drinks for us -- totally made up for it! I would recommend this place for great Mediterranean food & drinks.

“Nice place in the Gaslight District”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

3 1/2 would be better rating.
The menu is not exciting....kabobs, wraps, etc.
BUT the food was good. Lots of places in the gaslight area are only OK this place is good. The Meze fries are great.

“Best Falafel you can find.”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Some very very good dishes... First of all the Falafel are truly a gem here! I would go back to this place just for the Falafel alone. If you never had truly great Falafel you have no idea what I am even talking about. This hands down was the best Falafel I've had in the States that I can remember. It literally is like what you get in Middle East when travelling abroad. Cant believe I can even say this. The other dishes like Baba etc are all good, but wow this is the best Falafel spot you can find!
