After taking pictures of breathtaking views from the Cabrillo Monument, we walked through the pavement and up to see this lighthouse. Unfortunately, we couldn't get in because the men were repairing the roof of it. Again, worth the walk to enjoy the spectacular view of San Diego-both ocean side and city side...

Took a young friend here to provide the fabulous view of all of San Diego, the mountains, Mexico, and the harbor and ocean. The historic location of Juan Cabrillo's landing and the National Cemetery at Fort Rosecrans along with the Lighthouse, and trails make for a perfect San Diego outing!

The old lighthouse is very interesting, but the view from the visitors' center is spectacular. Don't miss the tide pools! The access road to them is before you get up to the lighthouse.

Point Loma Lighthouse offers a piece of history, great views, scenic ocean views, tide pools, and easy hikes! It can't get any better than that!

This lighthouse tells the story of San Diego's beginnings with Juan Cabrillo. It's on a beautiful promontory overlooking San Diego harbor. The museum itself is moderately interesting, but the nature trails down to the water's edge are definitely worth a visit.
