Everything worked okay, got the Roomsaver price, the bass player from the Stray Cats who works at the front desk said he signed us up for the Choice points program but when we got to the next hotel we found he didn't and decided to stay at a different chain, on the third night a couple was in the room next door and we heard a free show through the thin walls, apparently it was a Super 8 and probably not as nice as the usual Quality Inn, the breakfast was what we expected. Okay for a cheap room in SD I guess but the Quality Inn in Tucumcari was twice the hotel.

Room Tip: A good room would be one where the adjoining room is vacant.

Last night we had to argue with Jay the front desk guy to get a battery for our smoke detector which did not even have a battery. I felt compelled to check it after so many things went wrong. Where do I start hmm.... The fitness centre is a dive none of the machines really function, every morning I had to hunt for the maid to unlock it. There was no fridge in the room when we got here the first night we were awoken at 11:30 pm because the from desk guy was 20$ short in his till and wanted to know if we payed the deposit for our phone. There was a day without water and the continental breakfast was crap. There are plenty of better comparatively priced hotels around. If you read this review and still stay here you deserve what you get!

Went to san diego for the first time, wanted to go sight seeing and sea world. Had stayed at a quality inn hotel before it was very pleasant and good price so thought this one had to be similar. First we couldnt even open our room on (2nd floor) had to go back to the lobby three times before they decided to change our room to the 3rd floor. Elevator was broken so had to use the stairs. I paid for 2 nights when we got back from sea world the 2nd day we couldnt get into our room again so went back to the lobby. They activated the key only to have the police knocking on our door in the middle of the night telling us to get out because we hadnt paid the room. Apparently there was a misunderstanding and only charged one night so i had to pay another night.

Stayed here to take in the awesome airshow at MCAS Miramar on a Saturday -Sunday stay. We were diverted to this property when our Motel called to alert us on Saturday about water damage suffered recently at their property . They x-fered the reservation to the above location-check-in was a breeze. The property is very narrow and parking is a bit of a challenge for those with a large vehicle-be forewarned. Due to the reasonable pricing the motel was very busy. One side of the Motel was very noisy with people yelling over the railing at others below. This is not a smoke free property and the smell of smoke was everywhere including the outside elevator. The good news is that there is an elevator for a budget hotel with four floors. That would be a lot of stairs hoofing all of your stuff to the fourth floor. Thankfully, we stayed on the quiet side, and despite the smell of smoke everywhere, our room was clean smelling. Our room was one of the smallest we've stayed in- but it did have the 2 queen beds we requested. The furnishings were adequate, and clean but nothing fancy. The beds were made up tastefully with 4 pillows for each bed and contained a low profile down comforter. We slept well. The bathroom was clean and fresh and had very nice flourishes done with the paper products and towels. Additionally the shower contained the wide swinging shower curtain rod that allows one to not feel claustrophobic in a Motel shower along with a new high powered shower head. The bathroom tour is complete with a hairdryer. The air conditioning worked without a hitch as did the small scale TV. What you will not find is a coffeemaker, clock radio, or ironing help - not that big of a deal for the price. The only drawback to our stay was the refrigerator didn't work to keep my insulin cold, and that the refrigerator was kept where you would hang your clothing- plus no place to put your suitcase. So if you need a small price-point and desire a clean room, this may be a choice- you just have to be ready for the small inconveniences that can be overcome. With the high prices for many hotel rooms in hotel circle this could be Do-Able.

Room Tip: Choose the side opposite of the office entrance-it's quieter.

Ok, so I should have read the reviews prior to booking this hotel, but we were all tired and just ready to just find a room, go out for a few hours and then sleep a few before heading back to Los Angeles. We checked out the room prior to checking in, it was some what musty, and heaviness in the air, but we said that we could live through that as soon as the AC ran for a while. We cranked on the AC and left for about 6 hours, came back and the room was not really cooler. I think the AC was not working in this room, outside was cooler than inside. Also, when we turned the lights on I SAW the ROACHES scattering on the nightstand about 2:30am, I was ready to check out then, but after a night of barhopping we were not in the condition to leave. We stayed a few hours and checked out, I just could not believe there were roaches in the hotel, so NONE of us were interested in the free breakfast the next morning. The clerk who checked us in was very pleasant, so that process was great, and the location is great as well accessible to the freeways.

Room Tip: Not to select this hotel is my best TIP

Never will I stay at a Quality Inn again.. this was the worst place ever to stay..better off in your car. which is what we thought about at 3 00 am when we discovered cockroaches crawling on our nightstand..the room was filthy, dirty towels,no remote for tv,broken air conditioner, no hotel security, which was badly needed. DO NOT BRING FAMILY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN.. slept fully clothed it was so dirty.. no response from front desk..called several times.. wish I would have looked at reveiws first. seems everyone has the same terrible experience. if you are looking for drugs you will find dealers and users easily hanging around on every floor. looking for management, dont bother..COCKROACHES IN ROOM UGH!!!!!!! HAD TO SLEEP WITH LIGHTS ON

This hotel was horrible! I have rarely been in such a terrible hotel. I was honestly afraid to go to sleep, and had we not been there for only about 4 hours, would have gone somewhere else. The floors had massive stains (of God only knows what), the bed covers had holes (looked like burn marks), and the door to the room had a second lock that wouldn't have kept anyone out should they have tried to get it. The clientele was not what we expected, and we were honestly a bit nervous even staying here for a few hours. On top of all that, we were not given the room that we reserved. We had reserved a king room, but were given 2 double beds. A terrible experience.

Room Tip: Just don't stay here! Terrible rooms!
