I really like the beer selection. What I don't like is how the bartenders serve beer. Many times they ignore people at the bar waiting patiently to order. They need some sort of number system. Make it fair for people that don't like getting cut in line. They seriously need to make the space bigger. Often there's no place to stand, sit, or move.

Spent Saturday touring breweries; Ballast Point was my favorite. $1 per taste makes it simple plus a 10% military discount makes it even better! Brews were good with quite a mix of ales, IPA's, and even had a few spicy beers made with peppers. They had cool designs for their beers on tins and on glasses as well that were all very reasonably priced. Service was great - even recommended other breweries. Will definitely go back!

I'm an IPA fan...and they had 3 of the best I've ever had. Good prices and a really cool atmosphere. If I lived in SD, I'd be a regular. Great place to spend a Friday evening.

The brewery and tasting room are situated in a business park area. There isn't a ton of parking. We parked up the street and walked down. The bar area is cool and has alot of info about the beers available. We got the sampler, and what a sampler! We got alot of beer for 2 bucks a taste! There is a great outside seating area. We sat and just enjoyed the beer. Great place to sip a beer in the afternoon.

This brewery was first on our list for our Sunday fun day of beers. We got there just in time (a small tour bus pulled up as we stood in line). We did the brew tour and our group was nice and small. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. You can tell he loved his job! After the tour we had a few tastings on the patio. We tried a few adventurous beers like the Thai chili beer but that proved to be better as a "shot" than a full glass of beer. But it was interesting. We would have stayed longer but had to pace ourselves for the rest of the day. Definitely worth visiting again when we return to SD!
