Drive along the coast all the way up to la jolla beach. Set your GPS to avoid highway, you'll not regret it.

“Beautiful view”
Reviewed December 5, 2013 via mobile

Easy to find, great short stop. Beautiful cliffs. I went during the late afternoon. I would recommend going there for a sunset. Not a lot of tourist traffic.

“Don't miss it!”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is one of the many natural beauties of San Diego. As you drive along the shore, stop and take a walk along the tide pools. The views are breathtaking. Continue your drive to Cabrillo National Monument. The monument sits at one of the highest points in San Diego and you get a magnificent view of the city. Be sure to see the Lighthouse and go to the Visitors Center and gift shop. This is nature at its most spectacular.

This is a great place to look at nature at it's best and worst.

Fog hinders visits but to be expected, clear days are totally awesome.

Dint park on the street. The park gives you ability to sit in your car and watch this heavenly experience.
