The view was spectacular! There were rocks in the shape of a HUGE heart to fit about 10 people in it and my Love and I stood in the middle of it. That was so special to us both and will last a lifetime.

Every trip to San Diego I end it by sitting out on Sunset Cliffs. It is a great place to meditate and relax.

Found this place based on a suggestion by another visitor. The area was not easy to find but worth the drive and small hike down to the cliffs. It is located near a college campus so expect to be met by security.I was shocked at how beautiful the area is. Lots of people hiking, walking there dogs, and just enjoying the awe of the area. One of the most beautiful area's in San Diego to watch the sunset. Take a light jacket if you go. It gets cold very quickly after the sun is gone.

There is a great view of the Pacific here. With care, you can walk out all the way to the cliff's edge to see the breaking waves and to enjoy a sunset! Walking and short hiking opportunities exist, and the surrounding neighborhood is quite nice.

The walk along the ocean on the cliffs is one of most beautiful I've enjoyed in all my travels. The park at one end, which is being restored with native plants, is okay, but the trail along the cliffs Is the reason to make time for a visit.
