I've never written a review that puts anyone in a negative light - but there's always a first time.
We used to go to Randy Jones at least once a month and sometimes more often - good beer & food. All came to an abrupt halt after two consecutive visits.
We took my parents who are retired restaurant owners and visiting from out of town to our (at the time) favorite sports bar hang out. The hostess asked if we had a seating preference (which we did) and were lucky enough to get the table requested! After ordering and receiving our drinks and putting in our appetizer order, the manager came to our table and informed us that a reservation was called in for the table we were currently sitting at and we had to move - my parents are 80 years old - come on! move! really?! The two person party with the reservation did not show up until 30 minutes after we were moved and there was no apology for the inconvenience or offer to comp anything (commonly done in the restaurant business). We were, to say the least, sorry we took my parents there!
Our last visit was a chance to win us back - it was a complete failure! We were seated (no seating choice requested this time) with a good view of one of the numerous big screens to watch the baseball game. Once again, after being served our drinks and our food order put in, we were informed that it was "fight night" and ALL TV's were going to show the fight. We were not informed of this before we were seated or before we ordered. As all screens were switched to the fight, we wolfed our food down and left - for good! My advice is to call ahead and reserve your table after finding out if baseball is in the TV line up! Kind of wonder if Randy is in the know?! Sidebar: The servers have always been fantastic and very apologetic on the two nightmare visits - too bad management does not take their cue from them! Both visits in 2012.
