I stayed at this hostel for two days, and stayed in an 8 bed female dorm. The rooms were fairly small but there were only three of us in the room. The dorm also didn't have a bathroom; there was a large shared communal bathroom on the second floor.
I arrived earlier than check in, and left much later after checkout, but they stored my luggage for me in a really secure area - it was tagged, and I felt quite safe leaving my stuff there.
They have a small room with a few computers, although you have to pay for internet, and there's some books and couches. There's also a large kitchen with free breakfast - this was all you can make pancakes and porridge.
They ran a tour to Tijuana on the Saturday night; it was $17 and I had planned my stay in San Diego around this - definitely worth the money and a lot of fun. The staff were great, always really friendly and helpful.
The location is also in a great spot, nice and central and close to a tram station.
