“Great food and great Music”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

A buddy recommended The Tipsy Crow so gave it a try on Sunday... Hit it just as Happy Hour started. Had a couple Sam Adam's Rebel IPA and the Mixed grilled cheese board....WOW... good eats and beer and at a very good price...

“Good bar”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

I stopped in here after walking past and hearing live music. Ended up staying for a few drinks and going bar later in the evening. Good atmosphere in general.

“Arrogant, rude and obstructive door staff”
Reviewed October 20, 2013 via mobile

Attempted to enter this venue on Saturday night. Denied access for having no ID (i am over 40!). After asking why and what ID was required, I was met with the repeated comment of 'you don't have ID? you need ID sir', so it was pretty gauling to watch a group of youngerish aged blonde females skip past the same silly little bearded doorman without a glimpse of ID, all with the batting of an eyelash. Good to see that sexism and ageism are still alive and well in San Diego. Or at least in this very short man's bearded head. All for the sake of a couple of beers. Saw the tumbleweed blowing past on Sunday...walked past smiling and called into a divebar around the corner; warm welcome, friendly staff...how it should be. Poor show for visitors to the city.

“A good bar!”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

I don't do a big lot of drinking on 5th avenue but i do like this place, always something on, and i like the "stock exchange" with the drink prices! The staff are always nice and polite, a nice place for a drink!

“Typical bar but with a few difference”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Typical Gaslamp bar which serves drinks, beers, and shots. Difference is that they also run an 'Exchange' which changes prices of drinks in the bar. They can go up or down in price, similar to a stock exchange. A little different, but a cool way to change things up.
