We've been Black Angus regulars until Thanksgiving...going out for turkey for the first time in 33 years on Thanksgiving Day. 6:30 p.m. reservation and "We've run out of turkey, sorry"...but only after we had been seated and presented our turkey discount coupon. First table offered, next to the kitchen. Two requests were required for silverware at the next table. Bread arrived after the salad, with the entree. No wine glasses available for our bottle of Thanksgiving wine, only undersized chain-restaurant champagne flutes. No explanation offered, nor any good-faith "dessert's on us" offer. Only the full-price menu. No Thanksgiving turkey dinner for our family, thanks to Black Angus. Such a disappointment for a restaurant acted like it had never seen a Thanksgiving.
