I finally did it.. I finally went to this Pho King Restaurant for some Pho King pho. I know the choices in pho are limited in SD, and I had already been to Pho Hoa, so I was looking forward for some Pho King if only for comparison's sake.
I ordered a large Pho King pho chin gan (brisket & tendon). The Pho King broth was weak, unfortunately, and there definitely wasn't enough Pho King meat.... just more Pho King noodles.
The Pho King server was atrocious... virtually brought each individual order out one at a time... for a Pho King table of 10. She was definitely high on something.
Other than that, the Pho King parking lot was small and cramped (though there's a Pho King lot across the street).
It's important to note that this may be a Pho King red herring, as it seems their Pho King hu tieu is what they're known for... but Hu Tieu King isn't as fun, now is it?
Do yourself a favor.... skip the Pho King and go for some Pho Hoa nearby, even though it doesn't have the same Pho King ring to it.
And sorry for the cliched Pho King review!
