“La Jolla Bus tour”
Reviewed December 21, 2010

My husband and I took the La Jolla Bus tour with Tour Guide Tim on our last day in San Diego. It was a five hour tour, which included a few stops along the way, Mount Soledad and the Veterans Memorial, the town of La Jolla, and then if desired, you could go on to two other stops. My husband and I decided to stay in the town of La Jolla and walk around. We first went with the tour guide for an excellent informative tour of the town and the important spots. Tim knows alot about the town, its current and former residents and is constantly sharing interesting tidbits of information with everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and were amazed at the amount of information Tim bestowed on us throughout the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, it is a great way to see some sights and learn about San Diego.

“What a Fun Tour with Tim!”
Reviewed November 25, 2010

My wife and I are not normally ones to go on guided bus tours. They tend to be very rigid, the tour guides monotonous, and you see alot of things from afar while driving.

Not with Tour Guide Tim. This guy knows how to give a tour. Feels like you are driving in his car as he took us to some spots on San Diego and LaJolla the we have never seen. This guy is the "Jeeves" of San Diego. Great inside stories, handouts to learn more, and you can't stump him with many questions. Best of all, he is fun and personable.

We did a full tour with a personal tour of the beach too and had a blast. And La Jolla is a small slice of heaven. Let Tim be your guide. Also, he is great a taking pictures of you so you are both in the picture. Well worth the price of the tour!

“Wonderful afternoon tour with Tim”
Reviewed November 8, 2010

Based on Trip Advisor recommendations, we contacted Tim and scheduled a tour to La Jolla. It was wonderful. We met Tim outside the Santa Fe Railway station on the east side and joined up with several others for the 5 hour tour via the small tour bus. Our first stop was Mount Soledad where we were able to view the war memorial as well as the Pacfic Ocean. Next we went to Torrey Pines Golf Course and again saw beautiful views. Then it was on to the Gliderport area. Unfortunately, the wind was insufficient to witness anyone engaging in this sport... but the view once again was lovely. Then after a brief drive through the shopping area of La Jolla, we disembarked for free time in La Jolla with recommendations from Tim as to places to shop and to eat. All along the way, Tim provided us with information about the area, describing places and building, providing history and answering specific questions. Tim obviously enjoys people and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the area with visitors. I wish he had time on his schedule to give similar tours of Old Town and of Balboa Park. His tour is an excellent value for both the money and the time invested. GREAT JOB, TIM!

“LaJolla tour is a great way to spend an afternoon.”
Reviewed October 26, 2010

My friend and I took this tour Monday. As someone else mentioned we were the only ones on the tour. How sad for other tourist. They have no idea what they are missing. We found out about this tour thru our concierge at The Sofia Hotel. Tim was great from start to finish. He seems to know and love San Diego. He had interesting facts about everything you passed along the way. The tour had just the right mix of tour time and explore time. It was great to walk along the beaches by ourselves and have lunch in the village. Sometimes tours can drag on. Splitting it up the way Tim does allows you to appreciate the sights more. The beautiful historical hotels are worth the tour alone.

“La Jolla just right”
Reviewed October 20, 2010

This tour offered a great balance between guided time and free time. Tim is extremely knowledgeable about the area - history, geology, flora, etc. It was a very personalized tour, yet there was plenty of free time to enjoy the shops and galleries in La Jolla village.
