After visiting the Seaport, we spent a couple of hours in this area. Mostly restaurants and small shops. We can perfectly understand why this area is "jumping" after dark. Should not be missed when you visit San Diego.

There is lots of new restaurants with a wide range of food varieties available. A must go to place if passing through San Deigo or visiting for a few nights.

On a recent visit to San Diego, we stayed in the Gaslamp Quarter. It is always busy with so much going on. There is always so much going on. We walked around at night just watching the people. Everything from the very rich to the homeless. I think San Diego has the 4th largest population of homeless in the country. But no one bothered us. And we never felt threatened or harassed.

You can spend a day just dodging in-and-out of many shops and boutiques, stopping in one of many pubs for a brew or cold drink, and take your pick of a varietal of foods/menus in a plethora of restaurants. Everyone is cordial and make it a great experience
