“Great authentic Mexican food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Found this place by mistake. Heard some great music and walked over. One of the young ladies invited us to come and eat. Glad we did, food was excellent. Try the mocajete, ceviche and fajitas. Tortillas were light and great.

“Too many onions in the Guacamole”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

A bit off the main drag of Old Town so it was not at all crowded. Very nice setting and atmosphere. We sat inside since it was quite a chilly evening but we could still here the music on the patio. The service was slow and i did not like the guacamole becasue they put way too many onions in it (and large pieces too). The small margeurita on the rocks was very small and mostly ice, but tasty. The food was just OK, but the best part was the tres leche cake for dessert - yummy.

“Not a "must go there"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

Stopped here after the trolley tour. Good location. The atmosphere was great. Live entertainment by a talented gentleman. Now the bad… the loaded nachos were not loaded except loaded with chips. Waitress was non existent. Took our order waited a LONG time for anything and then disappeared. For Mexican food it was bland. Just not good.

We Sat outdoors in old town enjoying lluvely music and good food. The tables had hats and blankets on them. My chicken was stuffed with spinach and feta cheese and was delicious. We loved the place.

“a shame we found iton our last day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

during our last few hours before heading to the airport my wife and I headed to Old Town SD. After plenty of shopping we stopped at El Patio for lunch. There were only three tables of people including us at first so the service was good. As more tables filled up the waitress got pretty slammed. They might want to have another person helping our front.
The food was terrific. My wife had the smoked pork loin and after a taste i almost switched plated with her (it was that good). I mixed, grilled seafood plate and loved it as well. Their margaritas are pricey but they are huge and tastey! I'm a margarita snob and they had a perfect mix of tequilla with not too much sour mix. After 2 I slept for about 2 hours on the plane.

We will defintely visit again.
