We were lucky to see the amazing orchid display in this fascinating open-air building. The plants are beautifully displayed. The lily pond outside the building is lovely and peaceful.

The best thing in Balboa Park. Beautifully maintained and so peaceful. If you have kids try to keep them quiet as it's just naturally a quiet place.

Wlak around the old park, this is a part of history that seems stuck in a time warp. Many things to see around the older building.

What a gorgeous oasis! So many beautiful palms and flowers for me to swoon over (and for my brother-in-law to pick out for his SD back yard!). My 3 year old niece enjoyed the touch and smell herbs. With some classical music floating through the air, it was about as beautiful and perfect as a little space can be. Don't expect to spend more than an hour unless you are really into botany, but well worth the visit.
