staff was very personal and knowledgeable. They shared many interesting facts, they actually seemed to very much enjoy their jobs.

The building is interesting, but inside was nothing to enjoy and quite small space; which was shocking, as you can see so many beautiful trees and bushes on the streets of San Diego. Good thing it was free at least. Outside looks better than inside.

We really liked all the mediterranean style buildings in Balboa Park but the botanical building stands out as well. It is free admission and has a wide selection of tropical plants. Mainly the orchids and the verns growing from the wall! The ponds in front have really small and big fish, funny to watch the waterworld passing by.

One of my favorite photo shots across the lilly pond. Unfortunately not much to see inside in March. One gets the same view by just walking a garden path in Costa Rica or even one of the hotel grounds on Shelter Island in the harbor.. Of course it's just one part of Balboa park and the visit to the park is definitely worth the visit
