“A real treat to hear a free organ concert here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

Home of one of the world's largest outdoor organs in the world, it is a real treat to hear a concert here- especially classical music. Hearing Handel (the Messiah), Mozart, Bach and others who composed for the organ is a spine-tingling treat! It one of the many free things to do in San Diego that are fun and unique. Their calendar of events is at http://www.sosorgan.com/

“Must Hear”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2012

This is one of the best free attractions in San Diego's Balboa Park. Every Sunday at 2 PM unless otherwise noted, they offer free concerts featuring this incredibly powerful instrument. Played by the finest organists, this is no church service. Take a lunch and enjoy a little culture in a fun relaxed style and then spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Balboa Park. I highly recommend it.

“Fast-paced and dissonant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2012

The program was enjoyable for the most part but we felt that some of the pieces were played too fast and unevenly and with many discordant notes the day we vosoted. The organ is situated in a beautiful pavilion with gardens nearby.
