We visited Tender Greens for dinner on a Saturday night. As a first timer, I was thankful for the long line, as it gave me time to peruse the menu and enjoy the very hip atmosphere.
You order at the counter - it's sort of a cafeteria-style setup. You can see all the fresh ingredients behind the glass, and watch the employees prepare the food. You pay at the counter when you pick up your trays, and then you go find your table. Tender Greens is a farm to table restaurant, where they try to only buy local ingredients at the peak of ripeness. And it is obvious, because our salads were beyond delicious.
I had the Chinese chicken salad (the chickens are cage-free). It put all other salads to shame! I loved every bite. The chicken was moist, the dressing was not overwhelming, and all the veggies were perfectly ripe and scrumptious. My husband had the grilled chicken cobb, and the bacon on that salad was mouth-watering. Every bite was fresh and tasty.
We sat outside, as all the indoor tables were full. There are heaters outside, and although it was a chilly night, we were very comfortable.
What an excellent restaurant for not only those who want healthy food, but for anyone who cares about good (and quick) customer service, and a relaxing dining experience!
