“Carne Asada fries...amazing!!”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

First time to this place thanks to intro from a friend. She told me i had to have REAL mexican food. And man...i wasnt disappointed. It was super yummy, filling and not expensive!

Must tries are the Tsunami Burritos (steak and shrimp) and the carne asada fries. The latter has bits of steak, sour cream, guacamole and other wonderful sauces drizzled over hot french fries. and the plate is HUGE!!!

Pity they dont seem to have outlets outside of SD! =(

“Best Lolita's in San Diego!”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

I have been to the Lolita's in Bonita, Chula Vista (Telegraph Canyon), and Chula Vista East Palomar. Even though all of them have pretty good customer service...I have to say this Lolita's is the BEST in San Diego. They somehow make the food more delicious...and they do not skimp on cheese like the other locations. If you eat at the restaurant they will have a waiter or waitress bring you your food..unusual for a fast food restaurant. Additionally, it is right next to Petco Park in case you are interested in a delicious Mexican meal at reasonable prices. I like their combination of beef taco, cheese enchilada, and rice with beans. The flavor of the food is very good..I have been to many Mexican restaurants in San Diego and have been disappointed by flavor less food and expensive menu items....Lolita's is delicious Mexican food. Highly recommend it!

“Not Tex-Mex- Schmohawks!!!”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

This is Cali Mex food. good flavor, large portions and cheap prices compared to the rip off places on 5th and surrounding area. One of the better breakfast burros we've had, almost as good as Tucson's, almost. Good beans, standard rice. Good large chunks of chix, shredded beef, eat in or take it to go. Why pay $10.00 for pancakes at RW or Cafe 222 when you can get protein at Lolita's for $3.85. BTW, Portland has no decent Mexican food places!

“Quality & Price Can't Be Beat”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Food selection is amazing, and prices are very, very reasonable.

If you go right before a Padres game, expect huge lines (nobody likes the food/drink prices at Petco Park). The bottled beer is a little overpriced here, but still waaaaay under what the ballpark charges.

We love the potato rolled tacos, the bean and rice burritos, the spicy carrots & peppers.

Service is very fast, even when they are really crowded. Everyone we've encountered who works there is polite, efficient, friendly.

Really, you can't say much more about a place. If you live in East Village, put this on your REGULARS LIST of places to go for a bite. If you live elsewhere, maybe not worth a special drive (because parking is difficult). If you come to the ballpark, be sure to stop here before or after the game for something to eat. The other night, there was a guy who came OUT of the ballpark just to come here for his food!!! Smart guy.

“Great Fish Tacos!”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Stopped by here right before a baseball game. We were in town from NY and wanted to try some local fish tacos. Lolita's tacos were great! The restaurant isn't huge but it's perfect if you just want to grab something quick. They do sell beer which was a plus. Recommend for those in town for not a long time but want to try some local food.
