Owner description: The San Diego Museum of Man is your museum! Join the hundreds of thousands of people each year who come to see its exhibits on beer, monsters, torture, race, human and primate evolution, and more. You can also experience one of most important ancient Egyptian collections in the United States, which includes authentic Egyptian mummies, an exceptionally rare child sarcophagus, and one of the world's few surviving examples of Nefertiti's cartouche. Also, for the first time in 80 years, we are now offering guided tours of the California Tower - one of San Diego's most iconic landmarks. Tower tour tickets are timed like theater tickets, so be sure to purchase tickets in advance to secure your desired date and time.

This museum is ok, but very dull in some departments. The ancient Egypt exhibit was downright awful. There were barely any authentic Egyptian mummies and it seems like the took the worst of the sarchophagouses for display (pardon my spelling) However, the early humans exhibit was pretty good! But that still doesn't make up for the other dull exhibits, making the San Diego Museum of man no more than average.

The Museum of Man was a pretty interesting museum. If you´re into science or the evolution of man as a species, then you´ll definitely find the place educational and intriguing. A good place for kids as well because the exhibits are well done and evoke a lot of artistic qualities that bring them to life. Educational and fun for some, not the grandest museum but pretty cool.

We went to this museum specifically to see the exhibit on the history of board games. The exhibit was a lot smaller and less detailed than I'd imagined, but it was still very interesting and I was glad I went. Lots of examples of games from long ago, a game board painted on the floor so you can move along & learn interesting facts, and even a small seating area with tables & board games to play!

The building is gorgeous and almost worth a visit on its own. I also saw the Mayan exhibit which was interesting. Nice gift shop.

My daughters really enjoyed this museum. It is in a beautiful building. They especially enjoyed the "strange bones" exhibit.

This is an informative museum. You'll learn lots about the history of humans on Earth. The museum is kid friendly and good for adults as well. The architecture inside is beautiful. We were in and out in about an hour. I thought the price was a little high which is why I only scored it as average (3 out of 5).
