We really enjoyed our stay ...great location and trendy rooms. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Yappy Hour or Canine Cocktails where local residents bring their dogs to the rooftop bar was a blast.

I traveled with my son to SD and we stayed here for 4 nights. This hotel is just a couple of blocks from the historic Gas Lamp Quarter which was great. Hotel is very nice, clean, safe, and staff is excellent. Valet parking is 40 a night. I found a garage called Park it on Market at 6th and Market for 1$ per hour, max $15 per day instead. I've stayed at Indigo twice before ,this was the best one for 159 per night in downtown in SD, tremendous value.

I stayed 3 nights @ Hotel Indigo. I would definitely recommend this hotel for many reasons -- to name a few, the staff is very friendly and accommodating; the location is close to everything; the room is quiet, very clean, modern deco. and has great views of the Petco Park. It also has great amenities -- I especially like the Keurig coffee maker in the room (I drink a LOT of coffee) and it even has nice instructions how to use the coffee maker - nice touch if you don't have this kind of coffee maker at home, which I don't). The attention to detail in this hotel is amazing -- it's also a very green hotel; the rooms have special trash cans for recycling which i've never seen in a hotel, so that's very refreshing to see a hotel start promoting this practice. Hotel Indigo is also close to good restaurants, and its own Table 509 restaurant also has great food, and more importantly, great value! I ate the Asian chicken salad and had the house chardonnay (was also very good by the way) -- The one that stood out for me with the food is I was amazed at the food portions -- they are big for a value price (less $ than one would expect paying in a typical hotel restaurant price range).

The hotel overall is a very beautifully-decorated hotel -- very quaint, much attention to the little details from the nice restaurant floral centerpiece, to the cool murals on the wall, etc. all of which I appreciate, as it does not look like your typical commercial hotel. The rooftop bar is top-notch. It has those cool fire pits and the bar area is awesome.

I would come back and stay here again next time i'm in San Diego -- I would highly recommend Hotel Indigo Gaslamp District.

This hotel was very clean and trendy, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I loved the location. It was about a 7 minute walk to the convention center and about the same going the back way to the Hilton Bayfront. The room was spacious and amenities were good. The staff fixed a small leak in the floorboards the same day I was at my conference. I found it to be quiet and the terrace bar was lovely. Workout room is small but had the standard equipment and was clean. Side note, if you take the bus from the airport, the walk to the hotel is a bit sketchy at night from the bus stop which I think was on broadway. I never felt unsafe, but the area near the bus stop had lots of homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks (not near the hotel, though)

Couldn't find a hotel reasonably priced for a last second trip and randomly found this one. It's new, clean, modern, amazing service, and great location in Gaslamp. Has that hip feel to it. I had never stayed in an Indigo hotel before but will be doing so more often from now on. Highly recommended!

My wife and I discovered Hotel Indigo a couple of years ago, and never stay anywhere else when we visit San Diego. The service is superb, the rooms are beautiful and well appointed, the location can't be beat, and the prices are really reasonable.

My wife and I dropped in for her 40th birthday, and the staff made her feel like a princess. Sara at the front desk upgraded us to an incredible suite with views of Petco Park and the city. Room service was fantastic, and the bell and valet staff were very helpful with our luggage and parking.

This really is the best hotel in the Gaslamp. We didn't want to leave!

VERY comfortable and great room, quiet, spacious, modern, artsy, nice location downtown -- price was right on Hotwire hot-deal at $114/night. Free internet, not much else. Elevator is a pain in the [--]. Parking outrageous at $37/day but at least there were unlimited in/outs. Everyone on staff was very friendly and willing to help - valets especially were great guys. Room ammenities were limited to coffee maker; no mini fridge or nuke. Bathroom ammenties were not re-stocked daily, which was disheartening. Maid service all-together was lacking. Very friendly but did just the bare minimum. Towels were fine and temperature control worked well.

Restaurant food was solid and priced fair - recommend the local light beer, VERY tasty!

IF YOU ARE GOING TO CONVENTION CENTER: know that this hotel is about .6 miles away -- it IS a bit of a walk...comfortable, but not as easy as it seems. Lots of homeless asking for change, etc. One good thing - there is a 7-11 just a block away for snacks, etc, and liquor store close to the convention center at 5th and J Street.

Would stay again for same price but would not go to $180+ as listed on their website.
