Stayed there for a vacation and loved the place. The staff was wonderful and the hotel its self was gorgeous. The room was a little small, but didn't feel cramped or anything. The bed was super comfortable, once it was unburied from all the pillows. The shower was super large, big enough for two (or maybe three...). Plus the room had a tiny Keurig machine.
The restaurant was good and decently priced. It's not a bad place to eat, but with all the choices a few blocks away in the Gas Lamp District, there are plenty of non-hotel food choices around. The ninth floor bar was one of my favorite parts. Though it didn't have the latest hours, it was a very relaxing to sit out on the terrace with a great view of PetCo Field. On the other end of the 9th floor, next to the fitness center there is what they call the "Meditation Terrace"; the view isn't as amazing on that side of the building, but it was always empty. The terrace was a great place to just relax and enjoy the San Diego weather at night.More
