“Family Vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

We did a 3 night stay vacation with a 2 year old. The location is great close to Sea World and on a peninsula with it's own beach. The rooms are a little dated but decent for a little get away. The pools were heated, nice and clean.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms that are beachside... but it's pricer.

Gorgeous resort, tropical & fantastic atmosphere! My husband and I loved it here. Only thing I did not like is that there is no room service after 10:00 p.m. You should be able to order some food & drinks 24 hours/day.

Marcelo @ the coffee bar, the waiters @ both restaurants and the bell men were all fantastic! It is our 3rd family trip here and we plan many more! We had a wonderful spa day & were given great treatments. Eric the mud wrap was the best!

We just left Paradise Point this morning, and I have never felt so sad to leave a place we've stayed! Paradise Point is so relaxing and beautiful - like having a wooded wonderland and beach all in one.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a Lanai Garden Premium room at no cost, and our parking price was also discounted (thank you!). Our room was perfectly clean, and very inviting and the back patio came with Adirondack chairs and looked out to a pond and fountain. A family of four friendly ducks relaxed near our patio and our son enjoyed feeding them. (Note: they're not aggressive - they won't chase you around begging for food ;-)) Another feature enjoyed: unlike many places we've stayed, you don't hear every movement/activity of the rooms next to you - the buildings are well insulated, to a point where we weren't sure the rooms next to us were even occupied! (Turns out they were.) Room was also cooled upon arrival too - very refreshing.

Highly recommend trying the Caveman Pizza (no delivery charge!) and very tasty. (Do take out and eat it overlooking the water at the Bayside Lounge.) Coffee bar in the lobby is convenient and tasty too.

We took the water taxi to Sea World, which let us bypass the front entry lines and was a nice little ride. We also rented a surrey and pedaled around the bay, played miniature golf and enjoying ice cream bars from the market.

We can't wait to return again!

My husband and I had our first get away in years now that the kids are out of the house. We had a wonderful time!! The grounds are beautiful and we went for many long walks on the beach. We even caught a sunset while enjoying a bottle of wine on the beach. The food (especially the burger and sweet potato fries) were amazing at the Barefoot restaurant. We had a great room with a view of a garden and water lagoon...it was only a few steps to the beach. I would love to bring my entire family back.

Great resort hotel. Only reason to leave is to sightsee. All inclusive fun. Water taxi and private Sea World entrance were priceless! Food in Barefoot was excellent. An excellent value for our stay. Would highly recommend.

Great location for relaxing with the benefit of being close to all the attractions of San Diego.

My wife and I stayed in a Bay View King Room which was clean, although as other quests have mentioned rooms are a little thread worn in places. The overall setting of Paradise Point is well worthy of a short stay if you're travelling through this area and even with the faults I would stay again if the area.

We don't tend to seek advice and guidance from staff or place any demands on the overall service so my only comment is that all interactions with staff were positive.

The Baleen Restaurant on site although expensive was very good, on the other hand the Barefoot Grill and Bar was a little tardy.

Due to the location of the resort many people use the Island Market, the resort shop which extortionate rates for basic items like bottled water.

Room Tip: Must have a Bay view.
