This hotel is AMAZING! I am a travel agent who had mixed feelings aout staying hear based on the different reviews I read and I do not understand what those prior guests are talking about. This is an oasis in the middle of a bustling city and it is fabulous. The resort has so many things to do that you never have to leave if you don't want to. Our room we stayed in was a Lania Garden Bungalow and I cannot express enough the large size, the cleanliness, the comfortable bed, and the beauty of it. We arrived pretty late on Friday night and was greated by a very nice front desk clerk who checked us in with no problems. The property was gorgeously decorated with little twinkling lights while you drive in and fire torches to give you a pacific paradise resort feeling. Once we found our bungalow we headed down to the beach to sit near one of the many fire pits. We roasted marshmallows and had some yummy s'mores. The next day we ate breakfast at The Barefoot Bar a Grill (try the Chipolte Hash it is so good) and decided to relax at the main pool. We also fed the ducks, played a few holes of the 18 hole mini-golf course on property, walked around the resort, and ate dinner at Baleen (lovely fine dining restaurant with reasonable prices and very delicious food). Please note that this resort is on the water so getting a musty smell in the room is true but within a few hours of running the AC you could no longer smell it. The hotel is worth every penny and AAA is right in awarding it 4 stars. I hoestly did not see anything that was previously complained about and I can guarantee that if there was a problem the hotel will accomodate the best they can. As an added bonus, the hotel sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to wish me a Happy Birthday. I am looking forward to our return and hoping it is sooner rather than later. Paradise Point you all are so wonderful and we are so excited to be coming back in October!!

I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation.
I was a little "scared" to go to this resort based on some of the reviews I read, but I am so glad I went.

Everything was great from the start... the lobby, check-in, staff, grounds. Our Bungalow on our own private beach was AMAZING! This view alone was well worth every penny. Waking up to this was the perfect vacation.

Upon entering, the room was perfectly clean! We didn't leave the resort often so it was hard for the cleaning service to upkeep our room - but that was due to us and not them. They constantly supplied us with clean sheets and towels.

We rented Jet Skiis, had a bonfire, had drinks at the different restaurants. It was a perfect vacation!

Room Tip: They Bay View Bungalows are a must!

I just spent a week there for a business trip. What a terrific location - a small island in Mission Bay in SD! Nice warm breezes off the water - how nice. Even though the buildings are a bit old, the rooms are very nicely put together in modern decor. The conference facilities were very nice and the service was good. The 2 restaurants are fine, but they need a little variety as there aren't any other restaurants close. It's worth spending a little more for a water view - they have a little table and it's really nice.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the water - worth the extra cost.

Thank you for taking the time to share the details of your stay. I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed your conference and also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the restaurants. We did just roll out a refreshing new menu at the waterfront venue Baleen that further distinguishes it from the Barefoot Bar & Grill. We hope you will return to Paradise Point again soon to try it for yourself.

I knew this place was family friendly but I didnt realize I'd be bumping intro strollers left and right! I felt like I was at an amusement park and not at a relaxing getaway. The rooms are nice..but there is nothing luxurious about this place. It's definitely a 3 start hotel. Think....really nice comfort inn. My husband and I ended up cutting our trip short. I will definitely not be back..unless I come back equipped with AT LEAST 2 kids and don't mind spending my vacation in pools full of screaming kids.

Room Tip: Don't bother calling for room service. My husband called for a wine bottle opener..wait time 1 h...

We found this hotel on Southwest vacations while looking for a honeymoon spot. We got the deal of stay 3 nights, get the 4th free and also got a $25 credit each day towards breakfast. When we checked in we let them know that it was our honeymoon and would prefer a room with a water view. They were super accommodating. We were there the very end of April into May so it was drizzly and cold. We did have to pay the ammenities fee for the pools and never used them, and yes, the parking fee is high as well; however, the resort property was so nice and the room was gorgeous. It wasn't cheap to stay, but the food was delicious, service was great, and staff was very nice.

Only downside was the wait in the restaurants really is outrageous, the front desk staff liked to gossip and chat infront of guests, and as mentioned before the additional fees are very high.

All that said, we definitely wouldn't mind staying again!

Room Tip: Loved our Bay view room. Right on the water, very nice.

We enjoyed staying at Paradise Point! When we arrived, the woman who checked us in asked for the reason of our visit and when we said we were on our honeymoon, she upgraded our room to one right off the bay. We loved being able to walk out the back door of our room and have the beach right there. Mission bay itself is beautiful, and in our experience the water is warmer and the beach is cleaner than the ocean shore (Coronado Island). What makes this resort special to me is that it is conveniently located right near downtown so you can get to anywhere you need to go, yet when you're at the resort you feel like you're on a tropical island. We liked the rooms, they seemed nice enough to us, and we liked that there are about 3 rooms to a building so you don't feel like you're at a hotel.
