“Relaxing, Luxurious, and Great Service”

I stayed here on a weekend in early March and had a fabulous experience. I really needed a relaxing day at the pool and my expectations were greatly exceeded. I stayed in a cabana which was incredibly worth the extra cost as Patrick was extremely attentive and provided anything we had asked for. Also, the padded chairs were so comfortable and it was nice that if we had wanted to close off the curtains we could have extra privacy. Both the weather and the view were phenomenal and though families were around, the ambiance was still extremely relaxing and luxurious. I would highly recommend this hotel to those needing a relaxing or romantic vacation as well as those with families who are looking for a nice place that is kid friendly.

We had our wedding here on March 15, 2014 so I was able to work with lots of different people at the hotel. Starting from the Catering Manager, Laura Gipson who was great and helped me plan the wedding of my dreams. I constantly was visiting the hotel as a part of the planning process and all the staff was always so nice. We also had Brittany Haskell taking care of all our guests coming in from out of town and staying for the night. She accommodated everyone as best she could and I'm so glad everyone was in good hands, it made one less thing for me to worry about. Thanks again for all your help!

Older but nice rooms. Easily the worst service I've experienced at an on site restaurant. Asking for additional glass of wine from one of the wait staff has to go up a chain of command. I haven't seen a smaller pour of a mimosa in my life. Lou must be losing at the track. Lastly, don't bother buying a bottle wine at the bar for your room - I think they walk to the vineyard to get it.

Paid more than 500bucks for one night for the waterfront two queens suite. No lighting switch available for the kitchen, bathroom door and some other area in bathroom are rusty. And at the last we found three pieces of broken glass mostly beer bottle it seems like when my kids were enjoying their time on the sand. I wouldnt mind you getting the regular room but not the suites with more $$. Not worth it.

First room I was given already had someone in there...very uncomfortable for both of us. No comp or additional points given...I would think they treat their customers, especially Hilton members a little better when this happens.

My overall stay was accomodating and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant food was delicious! The continental breakfast and lunches provided were very tasty and plentiful.

The Hilton San Diego has the location; adjacent to Mission Bay, close to Sea World. We stayed here 25 years ago and then again April 2014 and found few updates to the facility since our first visit. In addition to the cost of the hotel, there is a $22 per room per day amentity charge; although we found few amenities to justify this cost. Unfortunately, there is no way to remove the charge. Then, there is a $34 per day parking charge.

We stayed in the tower; the rooms are tired and need significant updating. The bathroom had a new shower curtain, but that was about all we found. The desk had plugs for our computers, but unfortunately the plugs were broken. Room lighting was bad and we had difficulty turning on the knobs on the few lamps in the room. 25 years ago this was a very nice hotel; much has changed, generally for the negative.

Our only compliment was to the staff. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and helping us plan our days. They offered discounts on hotel amenities. Breakfast was good, but expensive unless included with the room.

We hope Hilton convinces the owner to invest some more money in the facility. The location would make this a great hotel. Next time, we will stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: A high room will let you look over Mission Bay and the ocean in the far distance.
