One my favorite place to visit San Diego... breath fresh air from the ocean :-)...nice scenic view...with nice coast line and city of San Diego. You can learn the history of San Diego..before they called San Miguel...
I wish they built nice Hotel Resort in this Area :-)
Entrance of the Park around $5 for Auto.
No Dog Allowed in the Area Visitor center....you can take your dog on Coastline area.

This is definitely a place worth visiting in San Diego. It has something to offer for the entire family: great views over San Diego Bay and sometimes even to the Mexican Coronado Islands, films and historic exhibitions, nice hiking trails, and a visit to the light house. For the tide pools make sure to be there at low tide. The park is only open until 5PM.

This is a neat place to go year round, but a summer evening around 4:30 is incredible. The sun will be shining directly on San Diego and the view is amazing.

I visited the Cabrillo National Monument in June 2014. The entrance fee is $5 per vehicle but it is all worth it to help preserve the monument. The visitor center has some good details of the history, and there were tons of parking spots for short hikes around the area.

The breathtaking views of the sea was the part that stood out for me. I spent a few hours in the park taking pictures of the landscape and sea.

This is the second time that my family and I have visited Cabrillo National Monument. It offers an excellent vantage point for scenic views of the San Diego coastline, Pacific Ocean, and of downtown San Diego. I especially enjoy the naval base nearby. It is cool to see the jets and helicopters flying around, as well as the submarines going out or coming in (I saw one this time and last time). There is a nominal $5 fee to enter, but is a very cool place to visit.
