Our two hour trip in the ocean with our personal guide was a highlight of our week. We were escorted out of Mission Bay and into a new world for jet skiing. We traveled through small swells for about 45 minutes. Then were allowed to sport around in the harbor there. Our return was fast and fun. We saw many sea lions. The two guides were careful and well trained. Excellent time out in the ocean.

Point Loma is an area of San Diego that includes most everything south of Midway Drive, including the new Liberty Station (Former RTC/NTC San Diego), Shelter Island, America's Cup Harbor, Naval Submarine Base San Diego, Rosecrans National Cemetery and Cabrillo National Monument. It is bordered on the West by Ocean Beach. The 2 main roads through this section of town are Rosecrans, which runs all the way to the Submarine Base and Catalina Blvd that runs to Cabrillo National Monument. Most of the fishing charters depart from the Shelter Island area. Great views of San Diego and the Ocean can be seen from various points here.

Always enjoy visiting here. There is a visitors center. Lots of parking. Great ocean views. Nice walking paths. Love the old lighthouse and keepers quarters.

Can't beat the beautiful beach view. The inside of the old light house was very interesting as well.

A great trip to this place. Lovely views and good facilities. Note if you use sat nav it may try and take you into the US Naval Base which was a bit tricky.
