A great interpretive centre, great city view and you can walk easily up to the lighthouse. Worth the short drive from downtown.

Love the beautiful mansions and the yummy eats at Trader Joes Market and Con et Cie Bread Company. Following the street out will take you to Coronado Island another must see.

The most fantastic scenic drive and awesome site for pictures! The December weather was actually quite pleasant and allowed us to walk around without jackets! A must-do!!!

So much to see at the tidepools, especially if you go at low tide and keep your eyes peeled. My son, who is a sea life fanatic, couldn't get enough of this place!

We got turned around navigating the streets in San Diego and ended up following the signs to Point Loma's tidepools. What an awesome experience! The views at the cliff edges are not to be missed. You can take some really incredible pictures without even trying. We didn't see any sea life in the tidepools because the tide was a little too high for exploring. There is a nicely kept dirt path that leads you to the cliff edge from the parking lot. The walk is a leisure one but if you want to get to the tidepools you have to climb down the rocks which are a little slippery. There is a small restroom near the parking lot though we didn't use it. The park entrance fee is $5 per car but no one was at the gate so we rode in for free. We would have gladly paid because the experience was well worth it. I'm glad we got lost!
