We descended on Soup Plantation with 25 High School lacrosse players and another 15 or so family, coaches, etc. for lunch. Food was great, choices were plentiful, price and value were great. The facility easily handled us plus the other patrons. They allowed us to group the bill for easy reimbursement by the school making it a great choice.

You know I don't expect amazing courtesy, friendliness and helpfulness at a buffet restaurant, especially in California. But we got it. They went out of their way to help us even though we had tired kids from a long day at the zoo. And the food is so fresh and varied and delicious everyone was happy. Vegetarians, vegans, gluten/carb free, raw, picky eaters, little eaters, old eaters, LOL! Everyone can find lots they love to eat at Soup Plantation in San Diego. And smiles and "Yes" from the servers.

We came here for our New Year Eve's dinner. The place was filled but still could find tables. Upon entering was the line for the salads. I loved the variety of salad fixings and the ingredients looked very fresh. The cashier was courteous and not rushing us. IN the middle of the meal a server came out with fresh baked cookies and served anyone who wanted them. What a treat!!!! The soups were delicious, especially the mushroom soup. I must have eaten 4 bowls of it. There wasn't much variety of fruits though. But overall, my family had a good time catching up and relaxed while we reminisced the blessings we shared in 2012 and looked forward to a great 2013. Right across the restaurant is Walmart so you can walk off the food in your stomach.

Great place to eat. Casual, clean environment. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Join Club Veggie and receive great discounts / coupons monthly via email. Excellent variety of foods.
I travel to SanDiego quite often..............and in a 2 week trip, will visit Soup Plantation 3 or 4 times. Mushroom Monday is my favorite day! (The only day cream of mushroom soup is on the menu)
People always thank us for letting them know about Soup Plantation once they go. Well worth the visit!
