“Quite good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

Good ambience, nice latin music, funny vertical "cava" with an elevator to get the wines, and fish that are just a 4 of 5. I would expect more from a restaurant near the ocean. The service was very good though.

“Total dissapointment, Pass on this one!!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

This is attractive place with a wonderful bar and boasts of great seafood. Well if our meals were the norm I suggest to my readers to Pass On This One. We ordered three specials and that usually means the fish is fresh, but in this case, the fish was tough and I think may have been frozen. I complained and the waiter said the Mahi Mahi would be better and brought me a plate instantly and it was as bad as the grouper so I concluded that they might use a microwave to heat there food up before serving, Finally I decided to let it go. My wife's friend had the stuffed sole and it was very salty and she could not enjoy it, and left most of it on the plate. The third entre was the ravioli and the comment was they were eatable For the price point of this restaurant I would say the Chef totally failed. Thank goodness The New York cheese cake was good, otherwise we all would have left hungry.

“Pretentious and very average”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

We were on vacation - family of 4. I don't think they are used to having kids so they didn't know what to do with 10 year olds. Overall, food was really average - the sole was very good while my sea bass was mostly inedible - very fishy and tasteless sauce. We waited forever for them to offer us bread. The kids ordered appetizers as their main course and they didn't understand and brought them as appetizers. Didn't offer us dessert. Would not recommend for food, service or ambiance. There is much better in San Diego.

“Best Seafood Resturant In Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

From the first time you step in Osetra , You'll notice the great environment I've never gone wrong with this place. Food is easily the best in town when it comes to seafood. They Have amazing happy hour. Chilean Sea Bass is amazing, I've also had steak here and it was amazing. The Food has flavor and there wine selection is top.

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013 via mobile

The Lobstsr bisque had no Lobster. The wine I ordered was not available in a 2007 but 2008 not quite as good as an 07. (Mt. Veeder 1/2 bottle Cab)
A hair in the butter that I purposefully left on the table and not one person picked up on it. The wedge salad was great.
The Ossobuco was delicious however the risotto tasted more like rice and was very pasty
