“Dessert and Coffee were yummy...”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

Stopped into Currant Brasserie for a dessert and coffee while on a holiday in San Diego. We had already had dinner, but had walked by several times and this restaurant was HOPPING almost every night. We didn't have enough time in San Diego to try all the restaurants we wanted to try. We did, however, stop in for dessert and coffee on our way back to the hotel one night after a long day of sightseeing. Have to say that my coffee was excellent (one of the best cups I had in San Diego) and the Butterscotch Gooey Butter Cake was served warm and was delectable! I'm not normally a dessert person, but this really hit the spot. I'm a little sorry that we didn't have the chance to stop in for dinner, but next time we are in San Diego, this restaurant will be on our list.

“Not worth it”
Reviewed April 3, 2014 via mobile

I ordered their moules frites and the frites were piled on top of the moules. Maybe if you like soggy fries, this is where you would go. The moules were fresh enough but small in size.

The onion soup was bland and little flavour. Overall, not good food.

“Nice Brasserie.”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

This restaurant produces some nice classic brasserie food. We tried the onion soup, the mussels, the steak-frites. All very good. Service was polite and prompt. I would recommend this restaurant.

“Food selections limited, no breakfast.”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

Odd menu collection, nothing struck me enough to order. Tator tots mixed in with steaks. Bartender was friendly and fast.
