A group of 8 of us took the sailing tour on Sunday April 24. The experience was awesome. None of us had sailed before and the crew were experienced and very helpful. Would recommend this tour to everyone.

The staff of the "Stars & Stripes USA-11" love to sail and love the sport of sailing. That fact shows through in all aspects of their offering from the condition of the equipment, to the presentation, the engagement with their guests and 'just' sailing. Regardless of you level of experience in sailing, you come away from this adventure having learned something, having made new friends and enjoyed a fun time on the waters of San Diego harbor.

Highley recommended if you enjoy sailing. We had a great day, very windy. We were all given the chance to take the helm and/or work the lines. We sailed in the Bay past Midway, Seaport Village and out past Point Loma into the open ocean for s short time.
A great trip!

We were in San Diego for Christmas, and I wanted to give my two grown sons and my husband a "guys day". I read all the reviews and chose this because my husband loves to sail and they all love being out on the water. The day of the sail was pretty windy, yes; there can be too much wind to sail, but Captain Lynn kept us informed of the status. We were hoping it was a go because rescheduling wouldn't have worked with our travel plans.

The day of the sail, the winds cooperated, and it was a go. The winds made it impossible to set full sails that day or go out as far as they normally would. The crew really needed to sail for safety sake, and that limited the experience a bit. They all stated that the boat felt a tad crowded, which made moving around a bit tough. It was more sitting and less doing, perhaps the weather had more to do with this. While they loved the day out on the water, the experience for them wasn't quite as thrilling as they, and I had hoped.

In all fairness, the Captain does a marvelous job at trying to make the trip happen. Obviously, he can't control the weather, and when you are booking the trip, it is nice to know he honors inclement weather with either a reschedule or full refund.
