Went here on a Saturday, was great two hours long. Boat holds 18 people and we all got to be apart of the experience , from driving to bringing up and down the sails ! This is something I would do again we had a 8 and 11 year old and they loved it .

In our opinion you haven't really done San Diego until you get out on the water, and there is no possible way to do that any better than with the wonderful folks at Stars and Stripes USA-11! A real America's Cup yacht that you can sail....

We've done San Diego every way you can think of, from sea parks to zoos, from baseball and football games to fine dining, and even lamplight district rib joints to seaside hotels, but we've just had the experience of a lifetime at Stars and Stripes. Now be careful with this one folks. There is more than one America's Cup boat available to sail in San Diego, and the difference is night and day.

We had seen such a boat right along the dock near downtown. It was rather sad to see such an elegant and sleek sailing vessel so dirty and gouged, but we walked away still wanting the experience of sailing on a true racing yacht. A dear friend that traveled with us remembered this and gave us an incredibly generous gift of a real sail! On the trip from home to the dock I reminded everyone of the depressing condition of the boat, and not to get too excited for that reason. That's when we found Stars and Stripes USA-11. Our gift was not for the boat we had originally seen, but rather a well maintained, sleek, clean, and clearly loved ship of beauty and speed! This was the America's Cup yacht I had seen and dreamt of since watching her race those many years ago. And I was about to board her.

Prior to sailing though, we were received by the nicest staff of owners and enthusiasts that you can imagine. A history of the event and this boat in particular only added to our anticipation. Clearly they all loved what they did and wanted to share that love.

From dock to deck they never missed a beat. And once on the water the ship came alive. Her speed and elegance was belied only by the ease with which she swept us along. You couldn't even feel the speed until you noticed how nothing else on the water could keep up! The crew couldn't tell us enough, but in the end they knew so much more than we could ask, that it was clear we were privileged to be sailing with them all.

If you love sailing, and especially if you recall the days of true sailboats competing for sailings greatest prize, you truly CAN still be part of it. And the best part of all? For a magical several minutes they let YOU take the wheel!

San Diego .... no, LIFE doesn't get any better than this.

GO, and meet the friendliest crew, and the most elegant yacht you can dream of.

We're going again!

We love sailing and were in the San Diego area so we gave this one a try. This was our first experience aboard a real America's Cup Racing Boat and all I could say is WOW! This boat road great and was everything we could imagine. It is also an interactive experience so if you want, you get up and crew it with the crew. The crew is an outstanding bunch of guys who clearly love being on the water and enjoy sailing. Everyone gets to drive the boat and yes you are really driving it. You see how fast you are going and they tell you how to catch the wind and keep your speed up. Great experience with kids too. Truly the real deal. The San Diego bay offers a great backdrop and a consistent wind. Wish we could have gotten out in to the open water but no diminish to the fun. Drinks, beer and wine with some snacks too. They take lots of pictures and give you them a few days later - all free of charge. Outstanding!

We were visting from Canada and really wanted to try some type of sailing on vacation. My boyfriend found Stars and Stripes online. We booked it online received confirmation and instructions right away. We also received a reminder email a couple days before the sail . Once we arrived at the office the Bee was very welcoming. The history bee gave about the boat was very interesting. After heading onto the boat and staring the trip we had an amazing time the staff was wonderful every single person was there to make sure the guest were enjoying themselves, which everyone was . Every person was given the opportunity to steer and hoist if they wanted or you could just sit back and relax and enjoy the view. The photographer was awesome he captured every moment of the sailing and then they send you the link to all the pictures. Overall this was a highlight to our vacation and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a great sail adventure.

Taking a group of kids on a boat is never easy, but the Stars & Stripes crew made it hassle free and fun for our two groups. Not to mention they were a really friendly, easygoing crew. The kids (and adults) had such an amazing time on the water and I can't wait to do it all again next month!

Thank you guys so much!
