Love Old Town. So many restaurants, shops, history, etc. I recommend staying in a hotel in the Old Town area because everything is walking distance. Definitely a must see!!

“Wish we had missed this one”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

We hit EVERY fantastic place in San Diego that you could in a week, but this was the one thing that we could have passed on. PARKING WAS TERRIBLE. Saw cops cruising the area while talking with a mini-van owner whose back window had been smashed in the parking lot. Other than getting a few funny pictures in one of the lesser-visited museums, it was snoozy, too touristy, kitchy and didn't offer much. We walked around for an hour, checked out the local streets & moved on.

“Great Family Fun!”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

We spent the afternoon walking thru looking at all the displays and stores. It is very pretty and kid friendly and it is all free. We ate at Barra Barra Mexican Restaurant where kids 10 and under ate free. Our favorite stop was the Morman Battalion Historic Site. The site is very pretty when the cactus are blooming.

“nice reproduction”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

It is a nice reproduction of what old San Diego was like. There was easy access with the bus and trolley. Some of the buildings are original, but many are rebuilt reproductions. The Wells Fargo exhibit including a video of the history of Wells Fargo was informative. All in all it was nicely done.
