“Churros and Handcrafts”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

Tips: nice place to shopping Mexican handcrafts and have some churros.
The Asian store is also very nice.

Pros: nice stores and buildings

This place was a pleasant surprise. I thought that was tacky and very fake but in fact is a nice place to visit (check my pics).

“A fun history filled outing!!!!”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

A great place to be engrossed in history. There is so much to see and do. There were several free small themed museums with interesting history Then there were tons of Mexican restaurants the food smelled good. There was plenty of shopping of all types ie. leather, art, teas, cigars etc This place is a great place for the entire family. Glad we stopped here during our vacation. They also have a great old fashioned candy store with lots of variety, The chocolates there are to die for. Overall an excellent way to spend the afternoon.

“Beautiful restored village”
Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

We were very pleasantly surprised by Old Town. The historical part is a restored village with period shops (blacksmith, saloon, leather maker, etc.). and salespeople in costumes. The area has beautiful greenery and trees which add a tremendous amount to the visual appeal. There are many restaurants and shops and mini-museums as well. The official historical section spans a number of blocks but the whole surrounding area has a historic feel with shops, architecture and eateries. Another gem just outside of historic Old Town is the restored Victorian Village where a number of houses from late 19th century San Diego have had their exteriors beautifully restored. At this point, the houses are still being renovated inside so you can't go in but is a beautiful area to walk through. We spent a number of hours on two separate occasions walking in Old Town and the surrounding area and were very pleased.

“What a great part of history”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Low cost entertainment for the family. The Mormon Battalion Historical Site was wonderful. A little walk up the hill from the main streets of the historical park, but well worth it.....DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!! Interactive tour and well worth the 30 min.

“Too Many Good Restaurants”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

There is so much to see and do in Old Town San Diego. Visitors will find cute shops and some very nice restaurants. For those of you who like history, you will find many displays telling you about the beginnings of San Diego and those who built it. Old Town is very romantic in the evening.
