“Cute Shops by the Sea”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

While Seaport Village has some very touristy shops, it's also home to some real gems. The best bookstore & coffeehouse in the region is far-and-away the Upstart Crow. Captain's Cove offers up fun pirate paraphernalia. And the Village Hat shop boasts the most unique headgear imaginable!

Shops do validate parking. You can also visit by catching a ride aboard the Old Town Trolley, or - if you're savvy enough to stay in Little Italy - come in on your own two feet. Make sure to catch the sunset while you dine at the Pier Cafe.

“Go on an off-day.”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

This is located right on the bay. It has many little shops - some with standard souvenir fare and others with more-upscale merchandise. There are a few full-service restaurants and several sandwich/snack shops, and the soft-serve frozen yogurt is reallllly yummy! In one corner of the shopping center, there is a charming carousel that has a rather impressive history. The lush landscaping and the broad walkway along the water invite one to slow the pace down and enjoy the scenery. If I recall correctly, the parking and the dining were a little pricey; but it's really a nice way to spend the good part of a lovely day.

Lots of neat little shops right on the water, with street performers and vendors making things even more fun!

“ Very tourist-y and expensive.”
Reviewed October 6, 2013 via mobile

I was drawn to seaport village for the shopping and the fact that it was right on the water. However, it wasn't the kind of stores we were looking for. It was a lot of souvenir stores with crowds of people everywhere (there were 2 cruise ships in at the time). The location was nice being right in the bay, so we bought some icecream and walked along the harbour. Would not go back, but glad we at least saw what it was all about.

“Fun place to shop, wander”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

We always enjoy wandering and shopping at Seaport Village. It is right on the water. There are seat-down restaurants as well as "fast" food restaurants. This is a stop on the Old Town Trolley as well as the Seal, the amphibious tour. Our fav stores are the kite store and the swing store.
