Excellent outdoor entertainment, great shops and an excellent boardwalk along San Diego Bay. Great place to spend 2-3 hours. Plenty of easy parking...great for the elderly since it is so convenient.

Read so many reviews that described this place as too "touristy", so I almost skipped it, during our recent vacation to San Diego. So glad I went, though! We had parked at the Midway Museum, which gave us parking for the day, so it was easy for us to just walk to Seaside Village. Seaside Village is just impossibly adorable! It's a few blocks of little shops and restaurants, but it is so scenic because, for one thing, it is right on the water, and also, there are cute little fountains and gardens everywhere you look. When I went, there was really nice live music at the food court area. There are fun, quirky shops, if you are in the mood, such as a shop that had nothing but socks, and another that had nothing but hot sauce. I really enjoyed the shop that sold nothing but wind chimes (wish I had purchased one). There is also a really nice combined coffee shop/book store.
We had lunch at the burger place there, and the food was delicious. Made for a delightful, couple of hours. The place is not huge; perfect for a couple hours.

Great shops and restaurants right on the waterfront. We spent quite a bit of time here. A fun place. It even has an antique carousel

We were staying at the Manchester Grand Hyatt and found Seaport Village while walking out the back door. We found some shops that we liked and had dinner a few times in Seaport Village. We would take walks at night too, just for fun. Seaport Village has many shops for families and I would not recommend it for couples.

Next to the USS Midway Museum it's in a tourist zone next to the convention center. Not too many restaurants of note, but lots of shops and interesting items to purchase.
