Such a beautiful place to do some shopping n just go for a walk. There are many shops and a few places to eat but my favorite part was the view of the water. And you can see Coronado bridge which is nice! Definitely should stop there and check it out.

My husband claims that I'm one of the best "putzers" he knows - a putzer being one who enjoys the art of wandering, with little or no plan or intention, just enjoying the day and the unique goods found in boutique shops. If you're a putzer, you'll love Seaport Village. I spent a few mornings enjoying coffee and lingering at the Upstart Crow; and meandering in and out of various shops; and people- and dog-watching.

This is a great spot of spend an afternoon. The 'village' has many interesting and unique retail shops, art galleries, and places to eat. There are three to four nice restaurants all with great views (try the Pier House - reviewed earlier) as well as several walk up places.

The village is next to a City Park with a lot of room to fly kites or just enjoy the views. Seaport Village and the park are very kid and family friendly. There is no admission fee but a fee for parking. Have your parking ticket validated at one of the retail shops or restaurants for a big discount on the parking fee. We were there for about four hours and only paid $2.00.
Finding a parking place can be a bit dicey. We were there on a Sunday afternoon which may have added to the problem. We did find a parking place but it did take a bit of looking and waiting.
I would recommend the Seaport Village.

We had a few hours to kill and are glad that we made our way to the seaport. We got a few beers and were able to people watch and talk in the sun. There are a lot of cute shops and great places to eat- both casual and fancy. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Located in down town San Diego, this whimsical shopping area is a great way to spend a couple of hours. Filled with unique shops and couple of places to eat. There is a walking path to just relax and take in the view. After so many vacation days of running non stop, this was a pleasant way to take break. There is a fee for parking, but one of the shops will validate with purchase.
