“Whales and Sealion Show-- Incredible.”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We were thankful that we visited seaworld in Sandiego. The Shamu show was incredible. We saw in the soak zone (which is basically the first ten rows all the way around the aquarium) and we were DRENCHED by the end of it. (Not just damp or splashed-- COMPLETELY soaked). There was employees selling the usual goods, "cold drinks" (which was half soda and half melted ice cubes by the time they got to us) in souvenir cups, bubble guns, towels, and ponchos. Also popcorn and frozen lemonade's etc. We found the prices of everything to be typical theme park expensive. We paid something around $38 for five of us to have a hot dog and a small bag of potato chips each. OUCH. We saw the dry run for Clyde and Seamore's Halloween show. It was definitely the most entertaining show to watch. The sea lions were so entertaining and sweet. We made it to see the polar bear (SO depressing) and belugas (pretty neat) and we went on the motion simulator ride "Wild Arctic". I felt a little motion sick but everyone else enjoyed it. We went on Shipwreck rapids and that was fun, very much like the grizzly rapid ride at Disney. We were soaked when we got off of it.
The kids and hubby went on Journey to Atlantis and Manta which they both enjoyed.
There is one place where you can pay $6 for five tiny little fish to feed the sea lions. The kids really enjoyed this and so did the sea lions. They all lined up around the edge of their pool and waited with their mouths open so they could be fed. It was pretty cute.

We loved Sea World, easy to navigate round the park and with lots to see and do for all ages. The highlights were the Shamu show and getting soaked there, feeding the sea lions and seeing their show and seeing the dolphins up close! Prices inside the park are quite expensive, $7 for 5 wee fish to feed the sea lions with, but worth every penny. The rides were good too, be prepared to get wet. If we had been in San Diego for longer we would have definitely have gone back. Plenty of opportunities to get close to the animals.

“Excellent shows”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

We went on a Friday in August. First thing went to Mantra to go on the rides, No wait and went on several times without waiting, Went to the shows, Shamu and Dolphin shows were our favorite, We asked the ticket counter person whether it was worth getting the front of the line access pass and she told us not to since it did not seem to be a busy day and also we could always change our mind later. Saved us some money. Overall an excellent visit,

“Loved it”
Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

Park was well laid out. Loved how close you could get to all the animals, including petting the rays and dolphins. Only complaint is I bought a cd of photos from my dolphin experience and they gave me the wrong cd...ended up with someone else's photos, still working on getting that fixed.
